Prestige
Code signing
Last updated 13 October 2026
Prestige's Windows installers are not code signed yet. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning ("Windows protected your PC") the first time you run one. Click More info, then Run anyway. This page will be updated when releases start being signed.
How to check a download
Download Prestige only from github.com/Mr5elfDe5truct/prestige/releases or the download button on this site, which links there. Every installer is built from the public source in that repository.
Auto-update signatures
Updates installed from inside Prestige are signed with a private update key that never leaves the developer's PC. An installed copy checks that signature and refuses any update that wasn't signed with it, so a tampered update can't install itself.
Team roles
| Role | Who | What they do |
|---|---|---|
| Committers and reviewers | Ryan B. Gyles | Write and review changes to the source. |
| Release approver | Ryan B. Gyles | Builds, checks and publishes each release. |
Contributions from anyone else are reviewed by a committer before they are merged. The GitHub account that controls the repository uses two-factor authentication.
Privacy
This program will not transfer any information to other networked systems unless specifically requested by the user or the person installing or operating it. See the privacy policy for each time Prestige goes online and why.
Reporting a problem
If you find a download that doesn't look like it came from this project, or a security problem, please open an issue at github.com/Mr5elfDe5truct/prestige/issues.
